Goldenrain is a dryad, grown by a powerful forest to serve as a warrior protecting nature under the command of the forest's great, wise ent master. After growing up studying the secret ways of the druids, Goldenrain eventually set out on his own quest of becoming a druid. To fulfil this difficult goal, he was tasked with traveling the realm, finding the great druidic trees of old and using their wood to carve his very own suit of armor. By channeling the magic of druidic song through his beautiful voice, he is able to cause plants to grow in certain ways, shaping the wood of the trees into perfectly fitted pieces, which he then paints bright red with pigments also imbued by druidic magic. In this way, Goldenrain spent many months on his quest to gradually complete his armor, piece by piece, such that each adventure he had in different places would seep into and later be reflected by one piece of his armor, until at long last the whole suit was complete, and with it also his quest to become a true druid.
Being a dryad, Goldenrain posesses a couple of unusual quirks compared to normal humans. During summer season, a pair of large antlers grows on his head, and his skin conducts photosynthesis just like the leaves of a plant do, causing him to take in nutrients for his body just by being outside. Over the hot summer months, he can even start to get a bit chubby from too much time in the sun. His weapons of choice are two long whips made out of thorny vine, and of course the powerful druidic magics he wields as a paladin of nature.
