A descendant of the old and prestigious Brösel family, one of the most aristocratic families of Neverwinter (Forgotten Realms), Kajetan was set on the path of arcane study from an early age. He enrolled at Neverwinter's all-male magical academy, the Wizards of the Many-Starred Cloak, and completed a full academic program there: from humble beginnings as a first-grader to highly advanced courses in his specialty field of choice, the art of Bladesinging (the combination of martial prowess and dance with arcane abilities), which always suited him particularly well because of his affinity for physical exercise - something that was at least unusual among the students of such a prestigious magical academy.

During his time at the academy, Kajetan gradually became more and more famous and popular among the students. Many of his classmates developed crushes on him because of his physical fitness and outgoing, confident nature - over time, getting exam preparation tutoring form Kajetan became a service highly sought after by many of his peers (although most of them did not sign up because of bad grades).

During his sophomore year, the academy's director sought to put Kajetan's popularity and his impressive physique to use and arranged for a very flattering back view of Kajetan to be used on posters throughout the city to get more young people to enroll at the academy. The publicity stunt was hotly debated and criticized, but ended up a resounding success: Many of that year's new students had started at the academy mainly because Kajetan was there. Naturally, his popularity after that soared even higher, until he graduated one year later and the academy lost its precious poster boy.

After graduation, Kajetan started to freelance as an adventurer and a wizard-for-hire. He met Alvaro, who became his permanent boyfriend, and together they "adopted" Dimetrius, a scrawny Tiefling they had met, as the third man of what would become their happy-ever-after three-way relationship.
