Diamond in the Rough

It's funny how when I first posted this to my Patreon in October of 2023, I didn't really have much to say about it. This was one of my biggest projects ever, and it borders on a miracle that I was able to consistently push through it all and actually finish it. Needless to say, I'm extremely happy with how my boy Mouse turned out here. It's easily the best artwork I've ever drawn, by a massive landslide. So much so in fact, that people sometimes doubt it's actually me who's drawn it, because the style looks so different and much more elaborate than my usual pieces. I wish I was able to perform on this level more consistently, but so far this is a unique achievement I wasn't able to repeat. There is, after all, a lot of luck involved in a project of this scale. Many aspects of it can turn out to be working out smoothly, or they can turn out to be unexpectedly difficult or not come out in a way you were first expecting it. After I finished this, I started two other large paintings in this style, but they didn't turn out as nicely as this one. I really got very lucky here. Sometimes it be like that!
