This was one of the multiple large paintings I started in the wake of my huge success with the Mouse painting earlier. I worked on it for ages but it wasn't as smooth as the Mouse one had been, and in the end I had to call it finished in a state that wasn't quite on par with my hopes, but I still feel like it turned out quite cool.
